Terms of Use
The ground rules, in plain words
Effective October 23, 2026
The short version
Play is the Path is parent education and coaching — ideas, scripts, and playful things to try with your kids. You stay the parent and the decision-maker. Be kind to the service and it will be here when you need it; leave anytime and everything is forgotten.
What Play is the Path is — and isn't
Play is the Path is a parent coaching and educational resource designed to support connection, play, and emotional regulation within families. It is provided for educational purposes only and is not psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, crisis services, or medical advice. Using Play is the Path does not create a therapist-client relationship with Laura Bosworth or Play is the Path.
If you or your child are experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, developmental, or mental health concerns, please seek support from a licensed mental health professional. If there is an emergency or anyone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first — not this app.
Your account
You must be an adult (18 or older) to create an account. Keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else is using your account. The app is for parents and caregivers — children should never use it.
Using the guidance
Answers come from an AI guided by Laura Bosworth's parent-coaching method. They are suggestions to consider — not instructions, professional advice, or guarantees. Strategies and ideas are intended to support connection and communication within families, but results may vary based on each child, parent, and situation. You acknowledge personal responsibility for how you choose to apply the information provided, and you know your child best.
Using the service fairly
Please don't misuse Play is the Path: no scraping, reselling, reverse-engineering, or unlawful use; no sharing other people's private information; no attempting to make the AI produce medical, diagnostic, or harmful content. Accounts that misuse the service may be suspended.
Our content
The Play is the Path method, the Connected Parent Playbook, workshops, and the words on this site belong to Laura Bosworth. Your account gives you personal, family use — please don't republish or resell them.
Early access and future plans
Play is the Path is in early access: features may grow, shift, or occasionally wobble. If paid plans are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be shown clearly before you ever pay anything, and you'll always be able to cancel.
Ending things
You can delete your account anytime, right inside the app — no email, no phone call, no guilt trip. Everything is forgotten: your account, your children, every conversation. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service, with notice where we can.
Liability, plainly
The service is provided "as is." We work hard to make it wise and warm, but we can't promise specific outcomes, and we aren't liable for decisions made using the guidance. Nothing in these terms limits any right you hold that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, email you before it takes effect.
